Sewcial Calendar...is back!

Hi! The Sewcial Calendar is back!!

Back in in January 2014 I started a monthly Sewcial Calendar here at the blog (first post here). It was posted in the beginning of each month listing all sew-alongs and sewing challenges or competitions for that month.

Two years later I took a break because there was at least two other monthly calendar's of all sewing challenges and sew-alongs more thorough than mine. One of them - Swoodson Says - decided not to do it this year and asked for someone who would host it. I immediately said yes! I was actually thinking about getting back to it this year, so this was very timely!

You can find it here. Have fun!!

Oh, and if you are hosting any fun event or know of any, please let me know! I will be more than happy to add it there.

Happy sew-cial-ing! :)

An Elephant for Baby T. - his first mama-made Christmas gift!

The best and most beautiful season of the year is just around the corner! (I just love, love the holiday season!) If you are anything like me your sewing machine will be working full steam the week before Christmas in order to have all those handmade gifts made... Well, this year because of baby #4 I thought I'd best start (way) earlier with my Christmas sewing (because everything takes me longer (much longer) to get done) and the thing is: I am already ahead on my gifting list! (Yay!!)

When Virginia asked me to join this year's edition of Gingercake Patterns Holiday Gifts I immediately said yes! Sewing for a blog series AND tackling my handmade gifts list all at once? Yes, please!

The Sakuro Clutch - One Thimble 13 is out!

Oh my! Such a long time since I blogged... Well, you must have guess it by now, or probably you've seen it already on social media: baby #4 was born in early October! He is a sweet little dude and I'm enjoying all the baby cuddles. Keep reading and you'll be able to see him! :)

Today I am joining the One Thimble 13 Tour! If you follow Made by Sara you already know how much I love this Australian based digital sewing magazine. I have been joining OT blog tours since issue 5 (what?! it seems such a long time ago.), you can see what I made and my issue reviews here: five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven and twelve

The Tulip Top

Hi! In case you're wondering, baby #4 is almost out! (Any day now! Eeeek!) but I am full active, nesting and doing a major cleaning here at home, but I am finding some time to sew! So, today I am joining the Tulip International Blog Tour and sharing my version of the Tulip top!

The Tulip Top & Dress is a brand new pattern by two Belgian ladies - Eva and Katrien (links below). This pattern was first launched in Dutch and I was really in love with it because of all the versions I was seeing on social media. So, when they contacted me to be one of the proofreaders for the English version I was thrilled!! After a couple of weeks of work, this beautiful pattern is finally been released in English this week!
